If this great preview of the new 360cities interactive panoramas is anything to go by then we are looking at a very user friendly experience. The use of Googlemaps flash API compliments the tour greatly. Maps embedded within a tour rather than visa versa will give the panoramas the credit they deserve. It uses the new kid on the Flash Pano block , KRPano. Which seems to be the best performing FlashVR player yet - certainly in performance anyway and the interactive elements certainly seem to be at least on a par to Flashpanoramas.

This rocks - So smooth
I love this - the fish eye is a bit weird though!
I know what you mean about the fisheye - great to see competition though!!
Wow - how they do that google map api!! I’d love to know!
When is a new KRpano coming out? I just get used to one player then another comes along!! -
its comming our very soon - there is a beta version
Hey John,
Is it possible to peak at the code from your 360cities Prague tour. Am building something very similar but cant seem to get the heads and tails of it.
Sam
Sorry No.
This is a showcase of many peoples tours. 360cities is run by Jeff in Prague - maybe you could contact him from the site.
Hey John,
I understand, that it is not possible to give some hints for creating such a nice site, but is it made with the krpano version 1.052 or with the comming new version? And, all with krpano commands?
I’m no coder or programmer, so for me it is very hard to do such a job. I made some tours with the FPP, but no integrated google-maps.
But a little hint for integrating google maps and the radar?! come on ;-))
Mario
kr pano rocks but… there are even less straight lines in the picture than FPP. and I’m not talking fisheye effect. I was creating panos in QT. Moved lately to FPP to make my panos more accessible (QT plugin doesn’t install that easy). What I didn’t like was the loss of picture quality plus all the stright lines (building edges etc) in the picture got this “wavy” look. Even if the line is in the middle of the view. Did anyone notice that?
e2rd,
The waviness of the lines depends on the setting. You can adjust the setting so that no wavy lines are visible.
Carel Struycken
Carel, any idea which setting would be responsible for that?
